New Leadership at PASS WIT Virtual Chapter

VC_WIT_colorI have been involved in one way or another with PASS Women in Technology for over 10 years. At one time, the Summit WIT Luncheon was part of the Program Committee of which I was a member at the time. When it became a virtual chapter, I stayed involved by promoting WIT sessions at SQL Saturdays and other regional events.

Meredith Ryan (@coffegrl) has been leading the chapter for several years. She is ready to take on other roles within PASS so she asked if anyone was interested in taking over leadership. Rie Irish (@irishsql) and I decided to take on the challenge.

Rie and I are still figuring things out, but we have lots of ideas. We plan to produce a monthly newsletter and host webinars. Of course we will talk about women in tech topics, but we are open to any SQL Server or professional development topic if the speaker is a woman. If you are interested in speaking for us, writing a short article, or have a great resource to share, please send a note to witvc@sqlpass.org. If you would like to receive our newsletter and notifications about our webinars, be sure to join our virtual chapter. You’ll see our chapter listed at the bottom of the page.

I want to give a big thanks to Meredith for her leadership over the years. I also want to thank Rie for sharing this job with me!
